Ghana midfielder Salifu Moro has joined Lebanese Premier League club Nejmeh SC from Libya’s Al-Ta’awon, completing a move that adds a 27-year-old defensive midfielder to the Beirut side’s squad.
Moro, who was born in Tarkwa, made the switch on 16 August 2026 after spending the previous part of the season with Al-Ta’awon. He joins Nejmeh following a short spell in Libya, having signed for Al-Ta’awon in February 2026 after a period without a club.
The 1.91m midfielder is right-footed and plays primarily in a defensive midfield role. His arrival gives Nejmeh an experienced option in the centre of the pitch as the club prepares for competition in the Lebanese top flight.
Moro’s recent record includes six appearances in the Libyan Premier League, where he scored once and supplied one assist. His wider career record also includes 95 Premier League appearances and one goal, alongside 34 further league appearances in which he scored nine times.
Before moving to Libya, Moro played for Egyptian club Ittihad Alexandria. He joined Ittihad from Ghanaian side Bechem United in August 2021, after beginning his senior career with Medeama and later spending time at AFAD Djekanou.
His time at Bechem United followed an earlier move from Medeama in January 2017. Moro returned to Bechem after his spell with AFAD Djekanou, before establishing himself in a career that has taken him from Ghana to Egypt, Libya and now Lebanon.
The transfer continues a busy period of movement for Moro, who left Ittihad Alexandria in July 2025 before joining Al-Ta’awon the following February. The move to Nejmeh is his latest change of club and his first recorded switch to the Lebanese Premier League.
Nejmeh have now secured Moro’s services as he enters the next stage of his career. The Ghanaian midfielder has joined the Lebanese club from Al-Ta’awon.
