Black Stars forward Jerry Afriyie will be competing against Edmund Baidoo and Christiana Ashaiku for the Ordartey Future Star prize at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards.
Jerry has enjoyed a stunning rise in his career in the last few months having been part of Ghana’s U-20 squad and breaking into Black Stars team including netting a debut goal against Niger.
At club level, he scored 4 goals and provided two assists for Spanish side Club Deportivo Lugo in 10 appearances.
However, Edmund of Salzburg is also in contention for the prize following his impressive performances.
The 19-year-old right winger scored seven goals and provided four assists in all competitions.
There’s also a female wonder kid in Christiana Ashaiku who scored four goals in four matches to emerge top scorer of the girls U15 African Schools Football Championship.
The Ordartey Lamptey Future Star award is designed for the youngster who have excelled in the last 12 months.
The event will take place on June 14 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
