Head coach of Angola, Pedro Goncalves has expressed his disappointment with the condition of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium despite win against Ghana.
Milson late strike was enough as Angola piped Ghana 1-0 to run away with all the three points on Thursday in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
but the state of the turf did not sit well with the visitor’s coach who believed his side could have played better on a good pitch.
“We tried to play good football but the pitch made it difficult,” Pedro said.
“A country like Ghana deserves a better pitch and better national stadium because they have good players and they deserve a better pitch.”
Angola next fixture in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers is against Niger while Ghana will face Niger on Monday in Morocco.
