Ghana international Andre Ayew has hailed Le Havre’s teammates for their overall performance after sharing the spoils with giants, Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1.

The Black Stars skipper scored a brilliant goal as Le Havre forced PSG’s Ligue 1 title celebrations to be put on hold as the two teams played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Parc des Princes.

It was Ayew’s fifth strike against PSG, making the French champions his favourite Ligue 1 opponent.

After the game, the former Marseille star took to social media to commend his teammates for their explosive display against PSG.

“Great performance by the whole team, proud to be sky&navy. we continue our journey thank you to the supporters who are always there at home and away” he wrote on Instagram.

Christopher Operi broke the deadlock for Le Havre after 19th minute into the game before Bradley Barcola leveled pegging for the host.

Ghana international Andre Ayew scored to restore the visitors’ lead before half-time.

Le Havre were in dreamland just after the hour mark when Abdoulaye Toure netted from the penalty spot to make it 3-1 for the visitors.

Luis Enrique introduced Goncalo Ramos soon after and the substitute helped PSG back into the contest, with a strong run before feeding Achraf Hakimi to halve the deficit in the 78th minute.

Ramos then grabbed an equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time when he glanced home Lee Kang-In’s cross, but the hosts must wait to guarantee the title.

Ayew has now scored five goals for Le Havre since joining the club as a free agent in November 2023.
