Head of Dreams FC Karim Zito has cited inexperience as the primary reason for his team’s exit from the CAF Confederation Cup following their loss to Zamalek SC on Sunday.
The Still Believe lads suffered a 3-0 defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium in the second leg of their semifinal encounter.
The result in Kumasi, following a goalless draw in Cairo, marked the end of the road for the Ghanaian side in the competition.
Speaking to the media after the game, Zito reflected on the impact of the first goal on his team:
“We never had this type of situation before. We didn’t panic even after their first goal. You could see we push and created a lot of chances.
“It’s lack of experience. The boys only gave up after the third goal. I can do everything but if the players are not mentally stable there is nothing you can do. Antwi was doubtful but we forced him to play,” he concluded.
