President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, says the FA is keeping a close watch on officiating decisions in the Ghana Premier League and other competitions.
His comments follow growing concerns from supporters and club officials who believe some refereeing calls have favored certain teams.
Okraku admitted that mistakes are part of the game but insisted that poor decisions must not become the norm.
“But it’s very important that we pay attention to these situations or those situations because we want a perfect situation. Even though we know that as a human adventure and as human as we are, there will always be wrong calls being made.”
He explained that improving officiating standards remains a key responsibility of the FA.
“The role of the Football Association is to make sure that there’s continuous training for our referees, is to make sure that our referees are continuously engaged, and is to make sure that we provide them with the enabling environment.”
The FA boss stressed that referee development through regular training and structured support is essential.
His remarks come as the domestic season approaches its crucial phase.
The GFA leadership hopes ongoing reforms will strengthen fairness and restore confidence in local competitions.
