Bundesliga match at Rhein Energie Stadion, Cologne
TV: Sky Sports Football, Friday, 7:30pm

Over 2.5 Goals

Koln really need to start winning matches if they’re to be assured of Bundesliga survival. They’re just two points above Mainz in 17th and are seven points behind 15th-placed Bochum. However, they have won just one of their last 10 in the league and one, drawn one, and lost three over their last five on home turf.

RB Leipzig recovered from their Champions League Last 16 exit to Real Madrid with a 2-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Darmstadt last weekend and have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five in the league. Away from home, things aren’t so rosy with just one win, two draws, and losses over their last five, scoring 10 and conceding 11. With the hosts needing something here, and Leipzig’s seeming disregard for keeping clean sheets we reckon three goals should be on the menu.

Xavi Simons to have 1 or more Shots on Target

Leipzig’s Xavi Simons is definitely a player you should be keeping an eye on. He bagged 19 goals for PSV last season over 34 Eredivisie games and has scored six and assisted eight in the Bundesliga this season. He’s got the second-highest shots per game average for the Bulls and with Koln in bad defensive form, we reckon he’ll be landing one on target.

Serie A match at Stadio Carlo Castellani, Empoli
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 7:45pm

Bologna to Win

Thiago Motta has been working some incredible magic at Bologna this season. Since taking over the reins in the middle of September he’s seen his side lose just four Serie A matches and they’ve torpedoed up the Serie A standings to fourth. They’ve won six of their last seven in league competition and with the home side winning just one of their last 10 on home soil in the league, we simply have to back Bologna to Win.

Ligue Un match at Stadium de Toulouse, Toulouse
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 8pm

Over 2.5 Goals

11th take on 10th here in what should be a ding-dong affair. Toulouse have won three of their last five in the league, winning two and losing three over their last five at home, scoring seven and conceding eight. Lyon have won five of their last six in Ligue Un and have won four of their last five on their French excursions, scoring eight and conceding five. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late, Over 2.5 Goals has the value here.

La Liga match at Reale Arena, Donostia-San Sebastian
TV: Viaplay, Friday, 8pm

Over 2.5 Goals

Real Sociedad have won two and lost three of their last five, drawing three and losing two over their last five at home. However, over their last four games have improved in front of the sticks, scoring eight but at still very much rather leaky at the back, conceding nine.

Cadiz’ away form of two draws and three losses wouldn’t exactly inspire their fans here but they have scored a respectable five goals over their last three in La Liga so it certainly wouldn’t surprise anyone to see them scoring against Sociedad’s porous backline. This one should be ending 2-1, or above so Over 2.5 Goals has plenty of value here.
