Footballs for the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League are ready for collection by the beneficiary clubs from Tuesday from the GFA Secretariat.
The 20 Women’s Premier League clubs will each receive the first tranche of 20 footballs for the start of the season with the second tranche slated to be shared at the start of the 2nd round of the elite Women’s league.
This is in fulfilment of GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku ’s promise to clubs during the 29th Ordinary Congress of the GFA held in Kumasi on July 10, 2023.
By this announcement, all Women’s Premier League clubs are informed to pick from their balls from the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Clubs are expected to use these 20 balls for the upcoming season, which promises to be most exciting yet.
The provision of footballs to the Women’s Premier League clubs is made possible through the GFA’s partnership with Decathlon Ghana and is part of the initiatives aimed at absorbing some of the expenditures of the clubs.
The Women’s Premier league is scheduled to kick start on October 30, 2023.
