Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku warmed up for international duty in style after scoring a thunderous goal for Leicester City in their 3-1 win over Swansea City in the English Championship on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, recently recalled by coach Otto Addo for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros, struck from the edge of the box in the 77th minute to restore Leicester’s lead. The goal, his third of the season, underlined his growing influence since returning from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Issahaku came close to a brace shortly after, rattling the crossbar with another fierce effort, as Leicester ended a four-game winless run and climbed to third on the league table.
His display was a reminder of the quality he brings to Ghana’s attack, and the Black Stars faithful will be eager to see him replicate such form when he joins camp for the upcoming qualifiers.
