Experienced attacker John Antwi reacts to calls for his inclusion in Black Stars

Dreams FC attacker John Antwi has responded to calls for his inclusion in the Black Stars team following his outstanding performance in the 2023/24 campaign.

The former Al Ahly and Pyramids star has become an instant hit for Dreams FC since making a return to the Ghana Premier League in the last transfer window.

He played a huge role to help the Still Believe lads secure historic semifinals berth in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Antwi last earned call up to the national team in 2017 and 2020 for World Cup and AFCON qualifiers due to his exploits at the time.

Since making his debut, the experienced attacker has made just two appearances for the Black Stars.

However, the 31-year-old says he will not hesitate to join the national when handed with a call up by the technical team.

“I will leave it to the Black Stars technical team. Mine is to perform at club level and anytime my services is needed, I will not hesitate to join the national team and contribute my quota” he said.

The Black Stars of Ghana will return to action in June to face Mali and Central Africa Republic for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
