Cameroonian forward Franck Etouga Mbella and 7 other players didn’t travel with the Kotoko contingent to Sudan for their pre-season campaign, according to reports.
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League champions have arrived in the Northeast African nation to continue their pre-season campaign.
According to reports published by Footydreamsgh, Mbella was taken to hospital on Friday and couldn’t recover in time to join the squad for the trip.

Also unavailable for the trip is another Cameroonian Georges Mfegue Omgba who was also taken ill.
Furthermore, Patrick Asmah, Charles Owusu, Maxwell Agyemang, and striker Samuel Boateng were all excluded from the list despite recovering from injuries following caution from the club’s medical team.
Etuoga, Mfegue, Owusu, Asmah, Boateng and Agyemang are not part of our #Preseason22 traveling contingent to Sudan.
The said players are recovering from injuries and are therefore being monitored and assisted by our medical team in Ghana.
