Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho is wanted by Arsenal and Liverpool

As we head into the business end of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign, both Arsenal and Liverpool remain in the hunt for a coveted title, and they could also be up against each other in the summer transfer window.

Regardless of who comes out on top in the title race, Mikel Arteta and whomever takes over from Jurgen Klopp will almost certainly want to improve the squad in various areas.

Arsenal will battle Liverpool for Willian Pacho

One player that is apparently interesting the North Londoners and the Reds is Eintracht Frankfurt’s highly rated centre-back, Willian Pacho.

Although he has a contract valid until 2028 according to Sky Sport Germany’s reliable football transfer expert, Florian Plettenberg, it would seem that the Bundesliga outfit would be willing to do business at around the €60m mark.

Given how well Gabriel and William Saliba have done for the Gunners this season, one might expect that Pacho would, at best, provide some competition for places at Arsenal, rather than being a first choice.

At Liverpool, there’s a cogent argument to suggest that he would dovetail alongside Virgil van Dijk in a new-look Reds back line.

For now, both clubs have other things to concentrate on before trying to beat each other to the punch in the transfer market.
