Ghanaian international and Novi Pazar left-back, Ebenezer Annan, has been handed a late debut call-up to the Black Stars ahead of March’s friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
The 21-year-old replaces Gideon Mensah who is expected to miss out on the friendlies due to fitness issue.
Annan moved from Ghana to Italy in 2020 where he joined Serie A side Bologna to continue his development.
After one year in the Primavera squad, he was called up to the senior team, making his professional debut in a Copa Italia match against Ternana.
He was sent on a one-year loan to Serie D side Imolese in 2022 and currently plays on loan at Serbian SuperLiga club Novi Pazar in the 2023/24 campaign.
Annan is expected to join the Black Stars camp early in the week after featuring in a league game against Vojvodina on Saturday.
