Controversial Don Bortey speaks about Kotoko’s Franck Mbella —

Legendary Hearts of Oak attacker Bernard Don Bortey believes Cameroonian forward Franck Mbella is nowhere close to the qualities of Ishmael Addo.

In recent weeks, there’s been a heated debate on Social Media about the two players with some Kotoko fans comparing the Cameroonian forward to the 1999 Ghana U17 sensation.

Mbella is on a 21-goal haul in 28 games so far for Kotoko.

Addo on his part, won the Ghana Premier League goal-king title for 3 seasons on a bounce, netting 64 goals in 71 appearances in total.

Bortey, who has taken a backlash from Hearts fans for his recent comments about the Rainbow club, wants the discussions to end.

“I don’t see Frank Mbella Etouga as a main. He is a second striker. Mbella is a very good striker but he is not up to the standard of Eric Bekoe and Alex Asamoah so they should not compare him to Ishmael Addo. Ishmael will come to the center and pick a ball forward,” Don Bortey told Pure FM.
