Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew has tipped the late Christian Atsu as the best player he’s ever played with.
Ayew, who played alongside Atsu for the Black Stars, described him as “really top player” who deserves more recognition.
Atsu, who passed away some years ago had a stellar career with the Black Stars, including a standout performance at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named Player of the Tournament.
In an interview with Joy Sports Ayew who played with big Ghanaian player’s including his brother Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan opted for Atsu.
“To be honest, I’ll go for Atsu. He deserves a lot of credit and plaudits for what he has done in his career,”
“What he has done for the national team. Don’t get me wrong. You have Asamoah Gyan, you have Dede.
“Honestly, playing jn that generation with that group of people was just unbelievable. It was top but I’ll give it to Christian because obviously he deserves plaudits. People don’t talk much about him, but he was a really top player,” he added.
