Black Galaxies striker David Abagna has conceded that they are in a difficult group in the 2022 African Nations Championship.
The home-based national team are housed in Group C with the defending Champions Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar .
They have been in serious preparations towards the competition for the past two months, including a pre-tournament training camp in Egypt where they engaged in two friendlies – Algeria and Mozambique.
Speaking to Cafonline, the Real Tamale United player confessed that they are in a difficult group but they will try their best to sail through.
“We are a difficult group. We cannot afford to look down on anyone. It is a game of football which at times comes with surprises.
“Everyone comes into the tournament with their best players, so you need to be ready for anything. We can only stay focused and try to take every game as it comes.”
The Black Galaxies will face Madagascar in their opening game of the competition on Sunday, January 15, in Constantine.
