Medeama SC Communication director, Patrick Akoto has revealed their target ahead of Al Ahly showdown in the CAF Champions League campaign.
The Marve and Yellows will open group stages account with the Egyptian at the Al-Salam Stadium on Saturday 19:000gmt.
The Ghanaian champions secured qualification to the group stages after defeating Remo Stars of Nigeria and Horoya AC of Guinea in the preliminary stages of the competition.
It is the first attempt of Medeama in the CAF’s Inter Club top competition.
“We wants to measure the expectations of our people and we will see how it goes at Al Salam stadium in Cairo. Our next target is to qualify for the quarter finals because it has been step by step for us,” Akoto told Joy FM.
“Clearly, we are the less fancied team but the most exciting side of football is there are always, shocks, upsets and good days for team,” he added
Medeama SC find themselves in the same group with Al Ahly of Egypt, Algerian gaint Belouizdad and Young Africans in the CAF Champions League.
