Ghana’s Ernest Nuamah is a contender for the CAF Young Player of the Year accolade, as he has been named in the nominees announced by the Confederation of African Football on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old had a promising beginning in the French Ligue 1, where he made six appearances for Lyon and managed to net one goal.
But before his move, Nuamah was involved in 19 goals out of 35 games, scoring 15 times and 4 assist in the Dutch super league for Nordjsaelland.
The ceremony is slated for December 11, 2023, in Marrakech, Morocco.
He will need to face competition from other talented individuals on the continent.
