Brendan Rodgers is the worst coach I have ever had – Mario Balotelli

Italian-born Ghanaian striker Mario Balotelli has declared Brendan Rodgers as the “worst coach” he has ever had, recounting their tumultuous time together during his Liverpool days as nothing short of a “disaster.”

Balotelli, whose football journey has taken him from the highs of a Premier League triumph with Manchester City to his current stint with Adana Demirspor, did not mince words in expressing his dissatisfaction with Rodgers, shedding light on a challenging chapter that contrasts sharply with his English successes.

Balotelli was signed to replace Luis Suarez, he made 28 appearances and scored four goals from August 2014 to August 2015.

“Brendan Rodgers is the worst coach I have ever had. He was number one as far as training sessions were concerned, what with keeping possession of the ball and the small-sided games. But as a person, he was a disaster.” Balotelli said.

Mario Balotelli left Liverpool to sign for French club Nice in 2016.
