Fatawu Issahaku is being hailed as the future of the Black Stars, with former midfielder Hamza Mohammed praising his talent and potential.

“He is a great talent. We are just privileged to have such a talent in our team,” Mohammed told 3Sports. “A young guy who is doing very well for himself and the country.”

Mohammed believes Issahaku should be a key player for Ghana in the 2026 World Cup, saying “We just pray for injury-free for him. I believe he should be the one that we should look for in the World Cup that we are going.”

He added, “Fatawu and the likes are the future of the Black Stars.”

The 21-year-old has been impressive for Leicester City, and Mohammed’s endorsement highlights the high expectations placed on him.

“So just hope and pray for injury-free for him. And who knows? maybe he will be one of the Abedi Pele’s that we’ve never seen since the legend left the game,” he said.

With his talent and potential, Issahaku is one to watch in Ghanaian football.
