Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has eliminated Salisu’s AS Monaco from the UEFA Champions League, winning 5-4 on aggregate.
The reigning champions secured a 2-2 draw at home, despite Monaco’s late surge.
Maghnes Akliouche put Monaco ahead, but PSG equalized through Marquinhos and took the lead via Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Jordan Teze’s stoppage-time goal wasn’t enough to send the tie to extra time.
Monaco’s season-ending injury to Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu was a significant blow, ruling him out of the tournament and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Salisu had made 17 appearances for Monaco before his anterior cruciate ligament injury.
PSG will face either Barcelona or Chelsea in the last 16.
