Black Princesses midfielder Helen Alormenu expresses optimism about the team’s advancement to the final round and potential qualification for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
In a media interaction preceding the first leg encounter against Eswatini, Alormenu conveyed the team’s preparedness, acknowledging the limited information available about the Eswatini side.
“We are very much prepared for the game even though we know very little about the Eswatini team. We will do our best and work according to what the coach has taught us and get the maximum points here,” Alormenu affirmed. She expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, stating, “The players are all ready, and I know we will make it to the next stage.”
Highlighting the significance of the tournament, Alormenu shared the collective aspiration of the squad: “Most of the players in the squad have not been to the World Cup, and it is our hope and dream to represent Ghana at the highest level.”
Acknowledging the anticipated challenges, she added, “It won’t be an easy game, but if we go according to what our head coach and technical team have taught us, we will win.”
The crucial encounter is scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 15:00 local time, as the Black Princesses aim to secure a favorable outcome in the pursuit of their World Cup dreams.
