The Ghanaian U-20 Women’s National Team, the Black Princesses, conducted their official training at the Lobamba Sohlolo National Stadium in preparation for their upcoming match against Eswatini on Sunday. Head Coach Yussif Basigi expressed confidence during a media briefing ahead of the third-round qualifier for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Basigi emphasized the team’s readiness, stating, “Our team is well prepared for the game because we want to qualify for the World Cup.” He highlighted the importance of progressing through the qualifiers to secure a spot in Colombia for the World Cup.

Despite facing unfamiliar weather conditions, Basigi assured that the team is adaptable and well-organized. He acknowledged limited information about the Eswatini team but expressed readiness to learn more during the match.

Providing an update on the squad, Basigi mentioned, “We don’t have any injury concerns, and all our players are fit and ready for the game.” He introduced new players to the squad, noting their prior inclusion in the team’s database. These players, though relatively new, have been on standby, ensuring a smooth integration with their teammates.

The match against Eswatini is scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 15:00 local time.
