Ghana’s U15 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, are gearing up to defend their title at the CAF African Schools Football Championship finals.
The tournament will be staged in Maputo, Mozambique, from April 2 to April 10, 2026.
The competition is organised by the Confederation of African Football and has become a major platform for developing young talent across the continent.
Ghana head into the event as reigning champions after lifting the trophy in the last edition.
That success marked a significant milestone for women’s youth football in the country.
The team has been prepared through collaboration between the Ghana Football Association and the Ghana Education Service.
Officials believe the squad has what it takes to compete strongly once again.
However, they are expected to face tough opposition from other top African nations.
The championship continues to grow in importance, highlighting grassroots football development.
As the countdown to kickoff begins, Ghanaian fans will be hopeful the Black Damsels can successfully retain their crown
