Asante Kotoko have thumped Real Tamale United after a convincing 4-0 victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors dominated the early exchanges and broke the deadlock in the 36th minute following a stunning free-kick by Augustine Agyapong.
Three minutes into the second half, Steven Mukwala converted a spot-kick to double the lead for Kotoko.
Mukwala added the third goal for his side in the 64th minute.
Kotoko sealed their victory with a fourth goal in injury time from Brazilian attacker Matheus De Souza – just first for the club.
Asante Kotoko still remain outside the top four with 38 points.
