Asante Kotoko in talks to sign ex-Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah – Reports

Ghana Premier League heavyweights, Asante Kotoko are in talks to sign former Ghana midfielder, Afriyie Acquah, the local media has reported.

According to the report, the Porcupine Warriors will sign the defensive midfielder if they qualify for the 2022/23 CAF inter-club competitions.

The Reds sit top of the league log with 52 points after 24 matches played in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

Should they be crowned winners of the Premier League, Kotoko will represent the West African country in the Champions League.

And Acquah, who is currently a free agent has been identified as the player who can strengthen the side.

Acquah last played for Saudi side Al-Batin.
