Asante Kotoko deputy skipper Richmond Lamptey urges teammates to be determined ahead of Great Olympics showdown

Asante Kotoko deputy skipper Richmond Lamptey has urged his teammates to be determined ahead of their game against Great Olympics.

The Ghanaian giants are away to Great Olympics in the week 15 of the Ghana Premier League, but fortunately for the Porcupines, the game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium due to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of the game, Lamptey, who has been tipped to make the Black Stars squad for the upcoming AFCON has called on his teammates to focus as they seek for maximum points against Great Olympics.

“As a Kotoko player, you always aim for win and nothing else. You have no excuse to lose or draw a game. I expect my players to be determined ahead of the Great Olympics clash” he told the club’s media.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently 7th on the domestic top-flight table after shaking off a difficult start to the season. They continued their resurgence with a 3-2 win over sworn rivals Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday.

Kotoko have now extended their Ghana Premier League winning streak to four games after triumphing over Hearts of Oak and will hope to beat Great Olympics on Sunday.
