The Udinese midfielder has showed flashes of brilliance for the Black Stars so far but admits he like the rest of the team will have to raise their game against the 3-time World Champions who will be desperate for a result in order to avoid a first round exit.
Asamoah told KickOffGhana.com: “It won’t be easy but there is no reason we should be playing Germany and think we cannot win. We beat Serbia who in turn beat Germany so we have to hold out and believe that we are capable of getting at least the point that we need.”
Both of Ghana’s goals have come from the penalty spot so far, raising concerns about the ability of the side to score from open play but Asamoah insist creating the opportunities is paramount.
“We are missing chances but we have to keep asking questions of the opposition, we have to keep creating them because we have done that well so far and that is important.”
