On Sunday evening, Roma hosts Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico as the Giallorossi look to enhance their chances of securing Champions League football next season.

The Giallorossi recorded a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in the last 16 of the Europa League last time out.

The victory means that Jose Mourinho’s team has now won four of their previous five games in all competitions, having kept clean sheets in all four of the wins.

The decent recent run of form has moved Roma up to fourth place in the table, but only ahead of fifth-place reigning champions Milan.

The team from the Italian capital have built their top-four challenge on a recent solid home record, as they are unbeaten in their last six league games on home soil, having recorded five straight home victories.

The Giallorossi have been tight at the back at home in Serie A of late, having kept five straight clean sheets.

The visitors are currently in 13th place in the Italian top-flight table after an inconsistent recent run of league form. A record of four wins in their last six league matches has kept Sassuolo clear of Serie A’s relegation zone. Last time out, Alessio Dionisi’s team recorded a 3-2 win over Cremonese.

Despite Sassuolo’s decent league run, the Neroverdi have now conceded at least two goals in three of their last four matches in Serie A.

Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last four away matches in the Italian top-flight, although they have also won just two of their previous nine league games on their travels. They have also conceded at least two goals in six of their last nine away games in Serie A.
