Ghanaian defender Issahaku Yakubu has signed a two-year contract extension with Al Ahly to end reports of potential transfer to Zamalek SC.
The 24-year-old’s decision to stay with Al Ahly is a significant boost for the club, who are seeking to build on its mid-table position in the Egyptian Premier League.
Since joining Al Ahly from Wadi Degla in 2021, Yakubu has established himself as a vital player, making 100 appearances, scoring two goals, and providing 15 assists.
With Yakubu’s talent and experience secured for the next two seasons, Al Ahly is well-positioned to achieve its goals in the upcoming campaigns.
