Al-Ahli reshape squad as Eid Al-Mawlid and Yazan Madani head for loan spells

Al-Ahli Saudi FC have agreed to send two young players to clubs in the Roshn Saudi League on loan ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Saudi journalist Waleed Saeed reported that midfielder Eid Al-Mawlid will join Al-Faisaly, while left-back Yazan Madani is set to move to Al-Kholood during the summer transfer window.

The moves are intended to give both players more regular first-team football after they struggled to establish themselves in Al-Ahli’s senior side. The club believe loan spells could provide the pair with the playing time needed to continue their development during the upcoming campaign.

Al-Mawlid joined Al-Ahli in January 2025 after moving from Al-Okhdood. However, he was unable to secure a regular place in the starting XI.

The midfielder has made 33 appearances for Al-Ahli, but only one of those matches came as a starter. He has yet to score or provide an assist for the club.

Madani came through Al-Ahli’s youth system before being promoted to the first team last summer. His opportunities have also been limited, with the defender featuring in only three matches since joining the senior squad.

He did not score or create a goal in any of those appearances.

Al-Ahli’s decision to loan out the two players comes as the club prepares to begin its Roshn Saudi League campaign. They will start the new season on Thursday with an away match against Al-Diriyah at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.

The arrangements for Al-Mawlid and Madani form part of Al-Ahli’s preparations for the new season, with both players expected to continue their development away from the club before potentially returning to compete for a place in the first team.

Saeed announced the agreements in a post on his personal account on X, confirming that Al-Ahli had approved the two temporary transfers to clubs competing in the Saudi top flight.

For Al-Mawlid, the move to Al-Faisaly will offer an opportunity to build on his experience at Al-Ahli after more than a year with limited involvement in the starting line-up. Madani, meanwhile, will leave the club where he developed through the academy in search of more consistent senior football at Al-Kholood.

The loans have been agreed during the current summer transfer window and will cover the forthcoming season. Both players remain under contract with Al-Ahli while they spend the campaign with their respective new clubs.

Al-Ahli will first turn their attention to their league opener against Al-Diriyah, with the match taking place at Al-Awwal Park in the Saudi capital. Their two young players will begin the season elsewhere as the club assesses its squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
