Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has suffered an injury – leading to his withdrawal from the Black Stars squad to face Japan in an international friendly.
The Udinese star complained of pains in his knee after helping Ghana progress in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers following a 2-1 win over Zambia on Friday.
The 22-year-old came on as a second half substitute to help the Black Stars beat the Chipolopolo before an expectant crowd at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Badu was seen limping after the game after which he complained to the Ghana medical staff of pains in his knee.
He was therefore dropped from the team that traveled after the match on Friday for an international friendly against Japan.
The former Berekum Arsenals player will now revert to his club where further examinations on his knee will be conducted to ascertain the actual problem.
