Before he departs Ghana, the attacker has been engaging teammates and people who have helped his career to get to where it is now.

On Wednesday, he was in the stands when Hearts of Oak drew goalless with Legon Cities FC.

After the match, he was in the dressing room of Legon Cities FC and expressed his appreciation to coach Maxwell Konadu for playing a key part in his development.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you again boss. You taught me a lot and I’ll always be grateful,” Daniel Afriyie Barnieh said.

The Black Galaxies forward signed a deal with FC Zurich before the team travelled to Algeria for the 2022 CHAN tournament.

He is set to travel to Switzerland in the next few days to join his new teammates for the ongoing 2022/23 football season.
