Despite Ghana’s precarious position in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, Otto Addo remains optimistic about the Black Stars’ chances of qualification.
After the defeat to Sudan, Addo highlighted that while the situation is difficult, the team still has a mathematical chance to qualify.
“It’s not over yet,” Addo said. “Mathematically, there’s still a chance, and we will do everything in our power to keep this chance alive.”
The coach acknowledged the frustration among fans and the team but called for belief and unity as they prepare for the remaining matches against Niger and Angola. He stressed that his focus is now on preparing the squad to secure wins in these decisive fixtures.
“We’ll try to prepare the team even better than before to reach our goals. We need to do our homework, and if we don’t lose, we should be there,” he added, expressing his determination to see Ghana bounce back.
Addo’s optimism is grounded in the team’s potential, but he knows they need to deliver results if they are to keep their AFCON dreams alive.
