Hearts of Oak board chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has touted the qualifications of new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara as the most experienced coach the club has ever had in history.
Togbe Afede believes the Ivorian comes first even before the club’s legendary Cecil Jones Attuquayefio in terms of experience.
The Phobians announced the appointment of the former Wydad Club Athletic technical director as their new head coach following the sacking of Dutch trainer Martin Koopman.
Aboubakar Ouattara has signed a two and half year deal with Hearts of Oak and has since taken charge of the team from the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
“We have with us a coach who is the most experienced we’ve ever had: Coach Ouattara. I hope his ability will help us,” Togbe said at Thursday’s Annual General Meeting.
Hearts of Oak are currently ninth on the league log with 32 points and will next take on Bibiani Gold Stars this weekend.
