Micheal Essien ‘praises’ PSG for eliminating former club Chelsea in Champions League

Micheal Essien had no option but to congratulate PSG who eliminated his former side Chelsea from the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea, trailing 2-1 from the first leg, lost by the same scoreline at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to crash out 4-2 on aggregate.

Although Diego Costa’s slick finish gave Chelsea some hope, Ibrahimovic volleyed home in the 67th minute for the win.

Essien, who now plays for Greek side Panathinaikos, was forced to wish the French champions all the best in their adventure.
