The MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament will give emerging Ghanaian footballers the chance to perform in front of scouts from RSC Anderlecht, FC Midtjylland and CD Mafra.
Representatives of the Belgian, Danish and Portuguese clubs are expected to attend the event, which will be staged in Accra and Kumasi from Monday, October 19,2026, to Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The tournament begins in Accra on Monday, October 19,2026, with matches continuing until Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Games will be played at the Alajo Astro Turf, with activities starting at 9:00 AM on both days.
The competition will then move to Kumasi for matches from Wednesday, October 21, to Thursday, October 22, 2026. Wesley College School Park will host the second phase of the event.
Organisers believe the two-city format will give young players from a range of backgrounds an opportunity to display their technical ability, tactical understanding and overall potential.
The involvement of scouts from RSC Anderlecht, FC Midtjylland and CD Mafra gives the tournament an international focus. It also provides participants with an opportunity to gain recognition outside Ghana’s domestic football environment.
Performances at the event could put some players on the radar of clubs abroad, potentially leading to further assessments and professional opportunities.
The tournament is also intended to contribute to youth development by creating a link between Ghanaian players and the international football market.
For those taking part, the event represents an opportunity to take an important step towards their ambitions of establishing professional careers in football.
