Ghana centre-forward Mohammed Fuseini has joined Derby from Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise on loan until 30 June 2027.
The 24-year-old moves to the Championship after beginning the 2026-27 campaign with Union SG, making five appearances across the Belgian Super Cup, Jupiler Pro League and Champions League qualifying. Fuseini scored once in two Champions League qualifying matches and provided assists in both the league and Belgian Super Cup.
Fuseini was part of the Union SG side that won the Belgian Super Cup in 2026, adding another honour to a growing list of domestic successes. He also helped the club win the Belgian title in the 2024-25 season and the Belgian Cup in 2026.
The Accra-born forward joined Union SG from Austrian club Sturm Graz in July 2024 for €2m. His time at Sturm brought further silverware, including the Austrian league and cup double in the 2023-24 season, after he had initially developed with Sturm Graz II.
Fuseini also spent part of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Danish club Randers FC. He made two appearances for Randers before returning to Sturm Graz at the end of the loan spell.
A right-footed centre-forward, Fuseini has now moved to England with his market value listed at €2.5m. He joins a Derby side competing in the Championship, although he has yet to make an appearance in the competition this season.
His career began at Ghanaian football academy Right to Dream before he moved to Sturm Graz II in February 2022. He progressed into Sturm’s senior team the following season and helped the reserve side win the Austrian Central Regionalliga title in 2021-22.
Fuseini’s record with Union SG before his Derby move included one goal and one assist in the opening stages of the 2026-27 campaign. The loan transfer was completed on 1 September 2026, taking him from Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League to England’s second tier.
Derby have completed the loan signing of Mohammed Fuseini from Union SG, with the Ghanaian forward contracted to remain at the club until June 2027.
