Ghanaian left-back Abubakar Seidu has joined Spanish club Las Lagunas from Atl. Malagueno on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old defender moves to Las Lagunas for the 2026-27 campaign, with the agreement running until 30 June 2027. He will play in Segunda Federacion Group IV, adding a left-footed option to the club’s defensive ranks.
Seidu was born in Accra and has represented Ghana at club level since beginning his senior career in Spain. He stands 1.74m tall and operates primarily as a left-back, with his preferred left foot offering a natural fit for the position.
The move comes after a spell with Atl. Malagueno, where Seidu made 14 appearances and scored once. His time at the club followed a move from Malaga Under-19s on 1 July 2025, marking his progression from youth football into the senior game.
Seidu’s previous campaign included 841 minutes of action, with his goal recorded at an average of one every 841 minutes. Las Lagunas have secured his services for the new season as he continues his senior career in Spain.
His transfer to Atl. Malagueno from Malaga Under-19s was completed in July 2025, before the latest switch took him across to Las Lagunas at the start of September 2026.
The loan also includes a scheduled return to Atl. Malagueno at its conclusion on 30 June 2027. Seidu’s recorded market value is €25,000, while no transfer fee has been stated for the move.
Las Lagunas have therefore added a Ghanaian defender with recent experience in Spanish senior football and a full season of Segunda Federacion action ahead of him. Seidu’s arrival completes his move from Atl. Malagueno on loan through the end of the 2026-27 season.
