Sweden-Ghana centre-forward Robin Quaison has joined Rinkeby Utd FC from Gulf United FC on a free transfer, completing his move on 1 September 2026.
The 32-year-old arrives after a spell with Gulf United in the UAE First Division League. Quaison joined the club as a free agent in February 2026, having previously been without a club following his departure from Greek side Aris Saloniki.
He did not make an appearance for Gulf United during the 2026-27 season before switching to Rinkeby Utd FC. The move gives the Swedish-Ghanaian striker a new club after a period in which he changed teams twice as a free agent.
Quaison was born in Stockholm and plays primarily as a centre-forward. He is 1.83m tall and favours his right foot, attributes that have defined his role throughout a career that has included clubs in Sweden, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Greece and the United Arab Emirates.
He began his senior career with AIK, having progressed through the club’s youth system. After a loan spell with FC Vasby United, he returned to AIK before earning a move to Italian club US Palermo in 2014. Mainz signed him from Palermo in January 2017 for €2.5m.
Quaison left Mainz for Al-Ettifaq in July 2021 on a free transfer. He later returned to the free-agent market before joining Aris Saloniki in September 2024. That spell ended in August 2025, with the forward subsequently moving to Gulf United the following February.
His career also includes international success with Sweden Under-21s, with whom he won the European Under-21 Championship in 2015. Quaison’s dual Swedish and Ghanaian nationality reflects his background, while his birthplace and early club career are rooted in Stockholm.
Rinkeby Utd FC have therefore added an experienced forward with a career spanning several European and Middle Eastern leagues. Quaison’s previous highest recorded market value was €13m, reached during his professional career, although no fee was involved in his latest switch.
The move from Gulf United to Rinkeby Utd FC was completed as a free transfer on 1 September 2026.
