Asante Kotoko SC have reportedly reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contract of left-back Samuel Tenadu due to medical reasons.
The defender has been sidelined for several months with a long-term injury, making it impossible for him to return to competitive action. Despite signing a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors, Tenadu’s spell at the club has been cut short before he could fully establish himself.
Tenadu joined Kotoko from Legon Cities during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season and spent just over a season and a half at the club. He arrived highly rated for his tenacity and work rate, with hopes he would develop into a key figure and replace Ibrahim Moro.
However, recurring injury setbacks disrupted his progress and significantly limited his impact at the club.
Sources indicate Kotoko are expected to issue an official statement on the termination later this week. It remains unclear whether the club will move to sign a replacement during the transfer window or rely on youth options for the remainder of the season.
