Finnish Veikkausliiga side SJK Seinäjoki have bolstered their attack with the signing of German-born Ghanaian striker Kevin Appiah Nyarko.

The 23-year-old arrives on a two-year deal with an option for an additional year, joining as a free agent after parting ways with Swedish Superettan outfit Varbergs BoIS earlier this summer.

Nyarko, who came through the youth ranks of SC Fortuna Köln in Germany, expressed excitement about the new challenge.

“Although everything happened quite quickly, I’ve already settled in quite well here. Seinäjoki is a small but pleasant town and I’m looking forward to knowing it better.

“The conditions at the club are top-notch, the players are good, and I’ve been warmly welcomed,” he said.

“The ambition is to push as high as possible in the league, earn a European spot or even win the championship. Personally, my job is to score goals and help the team succeed.”

Born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, Nyarko remains eligible to represent the Black Stars at international level.
