Police Ladies head coach Yusif Basigi has described their CAF Women’s Champions League Qualification group as the toughest.

The Ghanaian champions are in Group B with Nigerian side Bayelsa Queens, Association Sportive de la Kozah from Togo, and Sam Nelly from Benin.

Basigi acknowledged the challenge, saying, “Bayelsa are a big team, but I think it’s a good draw. Our group is the toughest, so we have to raise our game.”

The team’s target is clear: qualification for the Champions League proper. Basigi emphasized, “We won’t leave anything to chance — the target is qualification.”

With the WAFU Zone B qualifiers starting on August 23 in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, Basigi is determined to lead Police Ladies to success.

The team will face tough competition, but Basigi believes the draw is an opportunity to test their skills and prepare for the challenge ahead.

Police Ladies will play their part in the qualifiers, which will run until September 4, as they aim to secure a spot in the Champions League.
