George Afriyie pleads not guilty to GFA’s charges of misconduct

Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has pleaded not guilty to misconduct charges brought against him by the GFA Prosecutor.

Afriyie’s troubles began when he made comments during a Kessben TV interview, alleging match-fixing incidents involving Ashantigold and Inter Allies, which implied manipulation in the Ghana Premier League

“My comments were taken out of context, misinterpreted, and do not constitute improper conduct,” Afriyie stated, defending his remarks as a misrepresentation.

After a formal response George Afriyie, GFAProsecutor will now review his claims against the cited regulations to determine his guilt.

With his formal response submitted, the GFA Prosecutor will now review his claims against the cited regulations to determine his guilt or exoneration.
