Berekum Chelsea Chief Executive Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah has refuted reports that president Emmanuel Kyeremeh is planning to step down.
The chartered accountant has been out of the country and there are speculations he is ”fed up.”
Kyeremeh bottomless pocket helped the Berekum-based to sign some of the country’s best player and ensured they won the Ghana Premier League in 2011.
They also made it to the money zone of the CAF Champions League the following year.
His absence has been cited as the reason behind Berekum Chelsea’s inactive transfer shopping.
But the club say Kyeremeh’s absence has nothing to do with the future.
“He (Kyeremeh) is still the club president. I actually do not know where these rumours are from. He is not quiting,” Nketiah told GHANAsoccernet.com
“What we are about to do is to bring five new members in addition to I and Mr.Kyeremeh making seven. This shall constitute the new board of the club.”
