Ghana’s all time goal scorer Asamoah Gyan has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to exercise patience with Otto Addo as Black Stars head coach.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed Addo as the trainer following the sack of Chris Hughton after the team’s poor performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The commencement of his second stint was suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria before a 2-2 stalemate against the Cranes.

“Otto Addo has returned; it’s a different atmosphere and different players,” Gyan said on Asempa FM.

“Although he has worked with some of the players, I think it’s still a process. He also came with a new staff so it’s a different era.”

“Let’s see what he also has for us. We will support him through his rebuilding to see where he can take us.”
