The Ghana Premier League bounces back this weekend with an intriguing fixtures across various leagues centres.

The domestic top-flight went on break due to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where Ivory Coast emerged as winners at the end of the tournament.

In a highly competitive clash on Sunday, Bofoakwa Tano will welcome Great Olympics to the Sunyani Coronation Park in the week 18 of the Ghanaian top-flight.

After a flying start to the league season upon their return to the top-flight after several years’ hiatus, Bofoakwa Tano dropped in form towards the end of the first round.

The Sunyani-based club will be looking forward to improve their performance in the second half of the campaign. Having held the Accra-based club to a goalless draw in the first round, the Premier League returnees will be aiming for victory especially playing at their favourite home grounds.

With only 18 points from 17 games, Bofoakwa Tano find themselves in the 15th position of the Ghana Premier League table.

Coach Frimpong Manso knows exactly what’s at stake and must come out with a strategy can yield a positive result for the team.

On the other hand, Great Olympics will be approaching this game with all seriousness as they seek for a good start to the second round.

The two-time league winners parted company with head coach Annor Walker in January due to a disappointing performance in the first round.

However, assistant Coach Jimmy Cobblah is expected to lead the team in the second half of the campaign.

With 21 points, Olympics is currently ranked 12th in the league table, and the team hopes that the change in leadership will bring about improvement in their performance in upcoming matches.
