Coach Maxwell Konadu is refusing to take anything for granted despite guiding the Under-20 team to record a resounding victory against Morocco.
The Black Satellites put their opponent to the sword after they thrashed them 4-1 in the first leg of the final qualifying round to the 2013 African Youth Championship.
The Ghanaians were in awesome form as they put their North African giants to sleep at the Tamale Sport stadium.
Ghana will travel to Rabat for the return fixture in two weeks time and their trainer is determined there will be no complacency creeping into his squad.
“We have learnt a lot from this game, the return leg is not going to be easy but I’m confident we will make it to the finals in Algeriaâ€. Konadu said
“We have to work harder and try not to be complacent and go all out. The boys are committed and are ready to fight for Ghana.
“The fact we scored four does not mean we’re going to sleep thinking we have qualified already.
“They (Moroccans) will come at us when we play in the return leg. We just have to be cautious at the back and ensure we punish them when they open up.
“It is not a done deal at all but the players are determined to be part of history.â€
Ghana are seeking a third straight African Championship as part of plans to reclaim the title the country won in 2009 in Rwanda.
