Sudan coach Kwesi Appiah provides insight into his unique approach to managing both the U-23 side and the senior team.

According to the former Black Stars coach, he has added some players from the U-23 side to the senior side since the team has no upcoming assignments.

The 65-year-old last week signed a three-year deal and was unveiled in Saudi Arabia where the team is currently based.

After supervising two games, Appiah won one against and drew one with the senior side.

“Yes I have joined them together they are all in the same hotel,” he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

“Their Olympic team doesn’t have a match now so I am trying to see if some of the young ones can join the senior team that is the work I am doing for now.

“Unfortunately because of the situation in Sudan this is what is going on so I have to manage what I have I think we will try. At the moment next three weeks we have to play the World Cup qualifier so that is my immediate task,”

Sudan will take on Togo and DR Congo in the World Cup qualifiers next month.

Kwesi Appiah is assisted by former Medeama SC and Dreams FC coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu and former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda as the goalkeeper’s trainer.
