2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Match Week 16 Report – Bibiani GoldStars 2-0 Karela United

Bibiani GoldStars bounced back from their midweek defeat to beat Karela United 2-0 at Dun’s Park in match week 16 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

The home side scored quick goals to get back to winning ways after their ten-game unbeaten run was brought to an end by Kotoku Royals.

The win takes them to third temporarily with 26 points as Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko could leapfrog them with victories later.

Karela United, meanwhile, have moved two places down the table to 15th, with 19 points.

Emmanuel Appau scored the opener for the hosts 13 minutes into the game when he was set free on the left side of the penalty area to slot into the an empty net.

Four minutes later, Noah Martey made it 2-0 for Gye Nyame outfit with a brilliant goal as they head into the break with a two-goal lead.

There were no further goals in the second period as the hosts claimed a 2-0 win.

Bibiani GoldStars will play as guests to Accra Lions on Monday, February 13, while Shaibu Ibrahim’s men will host Kotoku Royals a day earlier in week 17.
